Instagram is trying a feature that allows users to create reels using other posts formats

Only a tiny number of content creators have access to the Instagram Template tool right now.

According to reports, Instagram is testing a new tool called Templates for Reels, which allows producers to create reels by borrowing formats from existing videos on the platform. The user can easily borrow the format of another reel and replace the movies with their own content using this capability. The new Instagram feature appears to be quite similar to TikTok's pre-made templates, which allow users to create their own material while borrowing a format. More information on this new leaked Instagram feature may be seen below.

According to a Business Insider report from the company, this function is now in beta and available to a small set of Instagram content creators.

In a response to Insider, a Meta spokeswoman said, "We are continually exploring new methods to make Reels simpler to build.  We're putting it to the trial to see if you can create a reel out of an existing Template from another reel."

Alessandro Paluzzi, a developer, and reverse engineer, first saw an early version of this feature in January of this year. According to Paluzzi, Instagram users will be able to use any existing reels as a template to which they may then add their own content.

Apart from that, Josephine Hill, a marketing manager, and influencer had access to the feature and described her experience with it in March.

Back in March, Hill said a few things regarding this feature, including, "Users appear to be able to switch their own video into preset frames and add their own music. This might eliminate the need for users to rely on third-party templates from sites like Canva or to carefully follow online tutorials in order to reach a precise format." "The vacant slots in the templates for dragging stuff vary," she added.

Furthermore, Instagram's CEO, Adam Mosseri, recently said on Twitter that the platform will begin promoting original content created by creators first.
